Become a Volunteer

Nonprofits need volunteers with a wide range of skills.

Any amount of time you are willing to volunteer can make a big difference!

Volunteer opportunities include:

Teen Volunteers

Do you know a teenager that is interested in earning community service hours? Well CAP is a great place to volunteer! We need teen volunteers many times throughout the year during special events, preparation days, clean up days, summer camps, workshops and at other times. Click Here to go to the "Contact Us" page and send us your information!

Marketing Moms!

Would you like to help CAP while going about your usual weekly routine? We need some Moms (or Dads!) who would be willing to pick up some of our CAP flyers and take them around to places in the community. Could you put a flyer on a bulletin board at your Preschool? church? grocery store? favorite coffee shop? moms' group? book club? doctor's offices? Just think of all the places you go each week. Since we offer classes for everyone from babies to adults, the options are endless!

We will create an email list of people willing to help us distribute our information. Whenever we have a new marketing piece at the beginning of a session or special event we will email you and let you know. Then you can just come pick up some flyers and take them wherever you go. Click Here to go to the "Contact Us" page and send us your information!

Gallery Team

When the Gallery exhibits change The Gallery Team removes the old exhibit, does repairs to walls and/or pedestals and then designs, places and labels the new art. They also do occasional projects such as painting the pedestals for three dimensional art.

Board of Directors

With skills that relate to all aspects of managing an arts organization, our Board has included attorneys, accountants, human resource professionals, small business owners, artists, marketing professionals, bankers, non-profit managers, real estate professionals, students and community volunteers.  Volunteer Board members go through a training process and must be elected to the Board. Call 704-896-8823 to speak to our Executive Director Cathy Templeton if you are interested in finding out more about serving as a Board Member.

Thank you all for helping us to keep art within reach in our community.
